Baker Miller Pink is a shade of pink originally created by mixing white indoor latex paint with red trim semi-gloss outdoor paint. It derives its name from the two US naval officers who collaborated with sociobiologist Alexander Schauss and his experiments with the color pink in the Naval Correctional Facility in Seattle, Washington, in the late 1970s. The color is also known as Drunk-Tank Pink because of its use in jail and prison cells for drunk or aggressive men. Numerous experiments have been conducted to prove the tranquilizing effect of the hue. The results have been inconclusive.
