PINK BLOCK is best described as „a set of tactics that sprung up during the IMF and the World Bank Summit in Prague“ (2000) by advocates of „both queerness (transcending male and female gender roles and oppression due to patriarchy) and cross-dressing.“ PINK BLOCK direct actions are often spiked with „tactical frivolity“, „tactical flirting,“ „radical cheerleading,“ „rebel clowning,“ dance, carnivalesque disruptions, humor, creativity etc.

PINK BLOQUE (2001-2005), a „Chicago-based radical feminist dance troupe dedicated to challenging the white supremacist, capitalist, patriarchal empire one street dance party at a time,“ used many of these tactics. Their goal was to bring „femme back to feminism and activism by exploring what it means to be pink and political.“
